Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Civil Planning Engineer to support the planning and scheduling of civil works for a greenfield petrochemical plant project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment between civil activities and overall project objectives. A strong background in civil engineering, construction planning, and Primavera P6 is essential.
Proficiency in English is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/4 schedules for all civil engineering and construction activities.
Collaborate with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure civil works are fully integrated into the master schedule.
Monitor civil work progress, identify delays, and implement recovery plans.
Establish progress measurement systems specific to civil works, in coordination with overall project controls.
Analyze construction sequences and propose optimizations to improve schedule performance.
Interface with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Provide regular reporting and schedule updates to the Planning Manager and project stakeholders.
Support strategic decision-making by identifying scheduling risks and recommending mitigations.
Attend coordination meetings and provide insights on schedule impacts and opportunities.
Ensure all civil planning activities are compliant with project standards and HSE requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning, ideally on large-scale industrial or petrochemical projects.
Proven expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Solid understanding of civil construction methodologies, workflows, and interfaces with other disciplines.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.
Certification in Primavera P6 or equivalent project planning tools.
Previous experience on greenfield petrochemical or industrial plant projects.
Familiarity with earned value management and construction KPIs.
