Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Civil Planning Engineer to support the planning and scheduling of civil works for a greenfield petrochemical plant project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed construction schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment between civil activities and overall project objectives. A strong background in civil engineering, construction planning, and Primavera P6 is essential.

Proficiency in English is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/4 schedules for all civil engineering and construction activities.

• Collaborate with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure civil works are fully integrated into the master schedule.

• Monitor civil work progress, identify delays, and implement recovery plans.

• Establish progress measurement systems specific to civil works, in coordination with overall project controls.

• Analyze construction sequences and propose optimizations to improve schedule performance.

• Interface with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

• Provide regular reporting and schedule updates to the Planning Manager and project stakeholders.

• Support strategic decision-making by identifying scheduling risks and recommending mitigations.

• Attend coordination meetings and provide insights on schedule impacts and opportunities.

• Ensure all civil planning activities are compliant with project standards and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction planning, ideally on large-scale industrial or petrochemical projects.

• Proven expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

• Solid understanding of civil construction methodologies, workflows, and interfaces with other disciplines.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Team player with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.

• Certification in Primavera P6 or equivalent project planning tools.

• Previous experience on greenfield petrochemical or industrial plant projects.

• Familiarity with earned value management and construction KPIs.
