Piping Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Piping Supervisor to oversee piping construction activities on a large industrial project.
The role is field-based and responsible for supervising subcontractors, ensuring piping works are executed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
The Piping Supervisor will work closely with Construction Management, Engineering, QA/QC, and Planning teams to support efficient execution, inspection readiness, and timely system completion.
Key Responsibilities
HSE & Site Compliance
Enforce HSE rules, procedures, and site safety standards at all times.
Ensure work permits, Method Statements, and Job Safety Analyses (MS/JSA) are approved and followed before starting activities.
Proactively identify and correct unsafe acts, conditions, and behaviors.
Maintain high housekeeping standards within assigned work areas.
Support incident reporting and investigations as required.
Piping Construction Supervision
Supervise piping construction activities including installation, fabrication follow-up, erection, and tie-ins.
Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors and piping crews on site.
Ensure piping works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, isometrics, and project procedures.
Monitor productivity and workmanship quality, reporting deviations to the Construction Manager.
Verify proper installation of piping supports, alignment, and stress considerations.
Coordination & Interfaces
Coordinate piping activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil) to manage interfaces and avoid clashes.
Liaise with engineering to clarify drawings, resolve field issues, and support issuance of site sketches or field modifications.
Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors to ensure timely inspections and ITP compliance.
Quality Control & Documentation
Ensure subcontractors comply with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Support inspections, walkdowns, and punch list generation and closure.
Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions in coordination with QA/QC.
Ensure piping works are completed in line with test pack and system completion requirements.
Materials & Resources
Verify material availability and readiness prior to execution.
Ensure correct identification, storage, and preservation of piping materials and prefabricated spools.
Monitor usage of materials and prevent misuse or cross-allocation without authorization.
Progress & Reporting
Track daily and weekly piping progress against the schedule.
Provide accurate progress updates to Construction Management and Project Control.
Support planning and look-ahead activities.
Qualifications and experience requirements
Solid technical background in Piping discipline.
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in piping construction supervision on industrial projects.
Proven experience supervising subcontractors on site.
Strong knowledge of piping installation, supports, pressure testing, and system handover processes.
Familiarity with project documentation such as isometrics, P&IDs, ITPs, and piping specifications.
Good understanding of Completion & Turnover processes.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Strong leadership and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work in a multi-discipline, multicultural environment.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Basic computer literacy (Excel, reporting tools).
Predominantly field-based role.
Ability to work in active construction areas and comply with site safety requirements.
